Dallas

Dallas Real Estate is unique in that many of the areas that people live in are not technically “Dallas”. There are tons of options around the city. Here’s a quick overview:

- Highland Park: Very expensive and exclusive. Get an agent to take you around this area because there are some great houses to see. However, be prepared to shell out some big money if you are seriously looking to buy anything in Highland Park.

- Plano: Following 75 north of 635, you eventually hit Plano, a suburb where many Dallas business men and women live and commute to. You get more real estate for your dollar in Plano, and with tons of new development, many people are being drawn to this area.

- Uptown: Also known as the West Village, there are a number of town homes and high-rises (as well as commercial) in this area. As such, real estate is at a premium and can be very expensive in this area. This area is a bit cluttered, so it’s best to find an real estate agency or agent that specializes in the area.

Other areas: McKinney, Addison, Richardson.
